June 28, 2004It all makes perfect sense...Foam guitar? I know all about those.

Out of interest - where did they get that foam from? Posted by: James Aylett at June 28, 2004 02:19 PMThis is such a typically Aylettian comment. Rather than pose any of the questions that the photograph immediately poses - why does Mr Lark appear to be playing foam guitar duets to an office of disinterested people? was this a national tour? were the two empty chairs occupied before the performance began? just how phallic does that other man's guitar look? - he wants to know where the foam came from! How on earth should I know? Is all this talk of foam and foam guitars actually the start of a new Aylett project to manufacture them? I can tell you now, you won't get government funding, I've already seen to that. Posted by: James Lark at June 28, 2004 06:20 PMI know perfectly well the history behind the photo, so most of those questions are already answered. If you must know, we need foam for making props and puppets. Although I am interested in what the man in the orange shirt is actually doing instead of 'listening'. But do you know the answer to that? Do you? Posted by: James Aylett at June 29, 2004 09:54 AMThe man in the orange shirt is called Derek Banks. If you really want to know what he's up to, you can email him at [email protected] - you could even ask him where he got all his foam from. Posted by: James Lark at July 1, 2004 10:01 AM |
