It all makes perfect sense...

Foam guitar?

I know all about those.

Out of interest - where did they get that foam from?

This is such a typically Aylettian comment. Rather than pose any of the questions that the photograph immediately poses - why does Mr Lark appear to be playing foam guitar duets to an office of disinterested people? was this a national tour? were the two empty chairs occupied before the performance began? just how phallic does that other man's guitar look? - he wants to know where the foam came from!

How on earth should I know? Is all this talk of foam and foam guitars actually the start of a new Aylett project to manufacture them?

I can tell you now, you won't get government funding, I've already seen to that.

I know perfectly well the history behind the photo, so most of those questions are already answered. If you must know, we need foam for making props and puppets.

Although I am interested in what the man in the orange shirt is actually doing instead of 'listening'. But do you know the answer to that? Do you?

The man in the orange shirt is called Derek Banks. If you really want to know what he's up to, you can email him at [email protected] - you could even ask him where he got all his foam from.
