Art imitates art
I’m leaving for Auld Reekie tomorrow – but some final thoughts from south of the border:
Saw the Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Exhibition today. Anyone can submit a work for consideration – I’d suggest that we send some of ours in next year. It would not look out of place. We make our pictures, by the way, by adding a line (or a simple shape) at time each, in turn, until the picture;s done.
Also: Some apt lines for the show, taken from "Fell in Love with A Girl" by The White Stripes:
These two sides of my brain
Need to have a meeting
Can't think of anything to do
My left brain knows that
All love is fleeting
