The Big Smoke

Here am I in the city and I'm just off to rehearse for our big opening night at the exciting and wonderful White Bear Theatre.

I have been prompted to record an entry in the tour diary by one of its biggest fans, the lovely Phil Stott, at whose residence I am currently aboding.

Phil will be known to most of you as the one who answered some questions once on "University Challenge", but he has also contributed to many of the Uncertainty Division's shows, indeed at the White Bear Theatre where we are performing tonight.

Mr Stott will not be appearing in tonight's show. However, he wishes he was, and is looking forward greatly to being involved in the Uncertainty Division's next show, which is going to be performed in a bouncy castle. Do check out his website, too: http://blake.agent-smith.net/stott.htm

We have just played a game of computerised football along with another Uncertainty Division alumnus, Mr Tom Bell, who is currently being late. In a game against the villains (captained by Blunkett), Lark played abominably and we lost.

That is all my news, except for the fact that I have finally had a haircut.

re. the haircut.
given that state of james' hair has been such a major feature of the tour so far, even, if i remember correctly, being the subject of a comment by Paul Daniels, surely his fans (james', that is, not Paul Daniels') are right to say that they crave, nay, demand a photo?

Indeed, I think it abominable that one has not already been offered!

I can, in the absence of photographic evidence, provide an independent analysis for those worried fans of James Lark. he is currently watching the Matthew Wright show whilst eating a bowl of muesli. In this light his haircut seems vaguely teutonic, like a fine strapping young goatherd tramping across the hills of Saxony to see his beloved in the next village. Either that or a particularly fresh-faced and friendly looking member of the SS.

I will endeavour to get a photograph for you all so you can decide for yourself.
