It's at least as funny as Little Britain

On Neighbours yesterday, the blond annoying one asked her daughter Bree (which is a type of cheese) for reasons why she was a bad Mother.

On reaching number thirty-one on her list, Bree fixed her Mother with a steely gaze and said: 'Telling me the Mr Whippy vans only played their music when they'd run out of ice creams.'

I nearly choked on my bacon sandwich.

Yes, some decent lines, "Cher is not classical music" being my fav. Personally, I think "Neightbours" works much better when focusing on some of the more Chav-like elements of our Antipodean cousins. It sort of reminded me of "Kath and Kim" a wee bit.

Personally I think "Neighbours" works best when things are getting burned down or people are getting electrocuted, but agree that the Cher line was a beauty.

On the other hand I'm slightly upset to discover that you of all people watch this trashy soap opera, Anthony. I always thought you were too cultured for things like that, in your own special Northern way.

I've been rather "off-balance" the last two days with a viral infection of the inner-ear so the wonders of daytime television opened their trashy thighs to me for the briefest of flashes. I might in future set the video recorder for "Loose Women". It's brilliant. Sort of like "Questiontime" sponsered by Now magazine.
