Police arrest

Another week of rehearsals has passed in a week that has seen fine weather most of the time, Tim Henman win Wimbledon, and man's first steps on the moon. Due to the first of these we have spent much of our rehearsal period on Jesus Green, a beautiful space in Cambridge inhabited by an eclectic mix of students, animals and alcoholics (often indistinguishable from each other).

We fit in rather well amongst these people, although we were suspicious of a group who sat and talked Danish near to our rehearsal spot (we think they might have been Vikings). Other than this, all was proceding well as we improvised around a game of Risk and a Railway Children-obsessed Signalman. But as my (rather brilliant) mad Signalman attacked Andrew Pontzen, an actual real non-improvised and therefore rather alarming Policeman halted the narrative, his extendable truncheon all extended, and I believe I'm right in saying his words were "What's going on here [then]?"

Fortunately Andrew was able to reassure the Policeman that we were actors, thus saving my life (for he looked like he was a young and slightly jumpy Policeman, and wouldn't have hesitated in using his extendable truncheon).

This on top of everything else (Henman et al) has made this a very stressful week, so I am delighted to say that The Uncertainty Division is currently having a well earned rest with a barbeque and assorted beverages. We feel this is appropriate, as it has now stopped raining.
