improvised theatre

November 09, 2005

Early days

We're hard at work rehearsing Impromime right now (today we saw a village overrun by pudding, and a giant rather partial to disco balls), but I'm sitting here typing up the programme notes for next week's run at Peterhouse, and for reference I have a copy of the programme from the last run - in December 2002.

The Uncertainty Division was formed in October 2001 to explore narrative improvisation, work that first bore fruit with the successful No Second Thoughts in March 2002: four one-hour improvised comic plays performed at the ADC Theatre, Cambridge. This was followed by the one-off On Second Thoughts in June 2002.

Impromime is the group's third show.

Aww. How cute! Of course, things have changed a lot since then - Impromime is now our eighth show.

Hello, James.
I've been scanning through the website. Seems like you guys have kept the ball rolling without Ben, Benny the Cape or me to block it.
Good work. I might (actually, that should be MIGHT; a big 'might', you see) make my way to see one of these Impromimes.
When and where are they to be viewable?
Love to all,
Pete
